Serving Columbus and Central Ohio woodcarvers
The Columbus Chippers was formed in January 1972. After due deliberations, it was decided that the purpose of the club would be to promote and perpetuate the craft of whittling and carving through friendship among woodcarvers. To accomplish this end, the membership would meet regularly to share information and ideas within the framework of the club meetings, woodcarving and craft shows, hold public carving demonstrations, and teach the art of woodcarving.
The greatest advantage of club membership is the lasting friendships and the growth in the capabilities of the members in the art of woodcarving through the sharing of knowledge, techniques and talents.
